Piggyback Ramp

Not one of the four use the ramp for its intended purpose. They do however like to run under it, climp it halfway, and knock it over when one gets the urge to redecorate. Its a decent ramp, and I love the idea of it. But my piggies at happy to just hop over the wall and skip the ramp entirely.

The idea of this ramp is really good, but it doesn't stay in place. If the guinea pig just bumps into it, the ramp gets tilted making it impossible to go up and down without me being there to fix it. Also, it's just a little steeper than my pig is comfortable with.

We built an L-shaped cage for one of our herds, so it uses two coroplast bases due to the shape. One of our boys is a little hesitant to jump over the "wall" between the two sections, so the ramp gives him an easy way to move from one section to the other. it was a nice, inexpensive fix for this issue. The only negative is that the pigs often stick their head under the ramp and flip it so it folds in half, so we need to check and fix it frequently.
