Cavy Cafe

This Cavy Cafe is a great way to give our guinea pigs a separate spot for eating and drinking. This has really helped to mimimize the mess of bedding and food being kicked and tracked all over the cage! Its very easy to remove and clean/ refill. Wish I had bought it sooner!

Got new baby piggies - 1st time having guinea pigs. Initially they were scared of the kitchen and were leaving little beans everywhere. Once lured into the Cafe, they eat, drink, pee and poop there. They will actually run out of their safe little sacks to poo in the magic green box and then go back to their little sack. They're like cats - it is magic! We have a 4x2 cage with 1x2 loft. The kitchen is a bit hard to remove for cleaning without de-installing the ramp. Other than that, very happy.

I bought a complete set-up for my guinea pig (who died in 2020), including the Cavy Cafe, or kitchen as we called it. This summer I adopted a dwarf rabbit and started using it, without the balcony and ramps. However, my bunny kept chewing holes in the fleece flooring so I ended up replacing it with cardboard (much easier to clean and doesn't need to be laundered). I decided to replace the Cafe because it had a permanent stain on it, either left over from my guinea pig or because I waited more than a week to clean it with vinegar and baking soda. I was delighted that the new ones have square instead of rounded edges in the front which can be covered with the plastic strips which I also ordered to prevent chewing. In addition, the Cafe fits together more snugly so there is no leakage from the corners as with the old one. If you have an old one, I recommend replacing it with the new one.
